The Saskatoon Stamp Centre (SSC) is and has been committed to protecting the personal information that you have given us. With Canada’s Privacy Legislation coming into effect, we would like to put our Privacy Code in writing before you. Personal information that we have is only for SSC use, and is used to better serve your needs.
The following 10 principals form our Privacy Code.

The SSC will identify the purpose for which personal information is collected at the time of collecting.
We require your consent (implied or express) for the collection of personal information. Information gathered by the SSC is held in the strictest of confidence and is for our internal use only and will not be shared with anyone else, without your consent.
We will limit the collecting of personal information to the amount and the type necessary to fulfill the purposes identified by the SSC.
Personal information shall not be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual or as required by law. We will retain personal information only as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected.
Personal information shall be kept as up-to-date, complete and as accurate as is necessary for the purposes for which it is being used.
We have implemented safeguards to protect your information on both a physical and technological level. We will strive to keep up with new measures of keeping your information safe as times change.
The SSC shall make readily available to individuals specific information about its policies and practices related to the gathering and management of personal information. Our privacy officer is willing to provide any further information that you might require.
Upon request an individual shall be informed of the existence and use of their personal information. Individuals are entitled to question their information’s accuracy, completeness and its uses. We will be happy to correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
An individual has the right to challenge compliance with the above principles to the above mentioned privacy officer. We will strive to investigate any complaint and take corrective action to address those that are justified.
Many of these policies have been standard practice with the SSC.
- We will not give out information on an individual without their consent, not even an address or phone number.
- We use information gathered to better serve the individual, such as collecting interests, budgets, etc.
- We will not disclose or sell off any information we have collected from individuals, such as e-mail addresses.
- We will disclose information to other dealers only when you have used us as a reference, and will only disclose the information required. We appreciate you letting us know that you have used us as a reference, before the other company contacts us.
The personal information we have on file before this act will be considered to have implied consent from you, for its use by the SSC only.
